Welcome!
I'm Jess
I am passionate about providing a space where the people that choose to see me feel seen, safe, and understood while they embark on their journey of self-discovery and growth. The individuals that I walk alongside often express interest in taking back control of their lives and understanding what is at the root of the problems they are facing.
Together we will work on untangling your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours in order to gain clarity while also identifying and strengthening your skills for you to use on your path moving forward.

- Fun fact #3: If I can be out in nature, you will find me there
- Fun Fact #4: I have acquired the skill of making balloon animals, and I would like to think that I have perfected the art of making dogs, swords, flowers, bumblebees, and hummingbirds.
My Journey
I have a passion for science and psychology, as well as a particular interest in the complexities and intricacies of the brain. As a result, my journey into the mental health field began with gaining a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from Brock University. I then continued my studies by completing a postgraduate program with Confederation College where I received a diploma in Concurrent Disorders.
Following this, I returned to my hometown where I worked for a mental health organization for five years. During this time, I worked with a diverse population who lived with anxiety, mood disorders, schizophrenia, addictions, and or homelessness. Many of the individuals I supported also struggle with self-esteem, peer and family relationships, and life transitions.
Although I was already working in the mental health field, I had a strong desire to learn more skills in order to better support the individuals I worked with. I wanted to be able to walk alongside those that I support as they navigate life’s tribulations. This desire led me to enroll with Yorkville University where I completed their Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology program. I am now a registered psychotherapist (qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and I hold a student membership with the Canadian Counselling Psychotherapy Association.
