Virtual Therapy for Men in Ontario
Counselling for men online to residents of Ontario
I support men across Ontario who feel tired. Tired of holding everything in, tired of feeling on-edge, tired of going through the motions. If you’ve been stressed, shut down, easily irritated, or feeling far from the person you want to be, you’re not alone. These reactions don’t mean something is wrong with you. They often mean you’ve been carrying more than anyone realizes.
Therapy gives you a place to lay some of that weight down and understand what’s really happening beneath the surface. We don’t force emotion or dig where you’re not ready. We look at what’s getting in the way, what matters to you, and what would help you feel more like yourself again.
Making space for you exactly where you are
I’m here to meet you exactly where you are, without judgment, and offer space to sort through what’s been weighing on you, while supporting you in staying connected to what matters most.

My approach to counselling for men in Ontario
Therapy with me is steady, straightforward, and grounded in what you’re actually going through. Not what you “should” be feeling or doing.
A lot of the men I work with aren’t in crisis. They’re just tired of carrying so much, trying to keep things together, or feeling like they’re slipping out of alignment with who they want to be. You don’t need the perfect words, and you don’t need to open up before you’re ready. You just need a place where you can be real.
My approach is practical and respectful. We look at what’s getting in the way, what matters to you, and what you want your life and relationships to feel like. I use ACT, EFT, DBT, and other evidence-based methods to make sense of your patterns and build tools that fit your life.
Every man comes in with his own history, expectations, and way of coping. Whether you’re dealing with stress, burnout, relationship tension, anger, numbness, addiction patterns, or feeling disconnected from yourself, we figure it out together at a pace that works for you.
You don’t have to be more emotional to benefit from therapy. You just need a space where you’re respected, heard, and supported as the person you already are.

There’s no one-size-fits-all answer to whether a man should see a male or female counsellor. What matters most is feeling comfortable, respected, and safe with your therapist. Some men feel more at ease working with a male counsellor, while others find female counsellors bring a different perspective or warmth that helps them open up.
The best counsellor for you is someone who understands your experiences and meets you where you are, regardless of gender. If you’re unsure, it’s okay to ask about their approach or try a session to see how it feels. Your comfort and trust are key to getting the most out of therapy.

What is men's issues counselling?
Men’s counselling is therapy tailored to meet the unique experiences, challenges, and ways men often relate to their emotions and relationships. It’s a supportive space where men can talk openly, without judgment or pressure, about what’s on their mind, whether that’s stress, anger, anxiety, relationship struggles, or life transitions.
This type of counselling respects how men might prefer practical, goal-focused approaches while also offering opportunities to explore feelings and build skills for healthier coping and connection. Ultimately, men’s counselling is about supporting men to live more balanced, authentic, and fulfilling lives on their own terms.

Absolutely. Many men are used to pushing through on their own, but that doesn’t mean you have to. Counselling isn’t about weakness; it’s about creating space to think clearly, make decisions that align with your values, and show up more fully in your life. You’re still in the driver’s seat, therapy just helps clear the road a bit.
